Demolition
Ben Teague & Associates are trained and certified to perform all phases of asbestos assessment, sampling and consulting activities. Demolition inspections for the demo permit may not be limited to bulk sampling and may include air monitoring - if required by the state or
EPA we have qualified personnel to perform ALL phases of the building inspection and monitoring. Fees vary according to the size and complexity of the subject job.
Prior to demolishing any building, the property owner is required by federal and state law in ALL 50 states, to insure the building is free and clear of asbestos containing building materials. The building or property owner must hire a certified asbestos consultant to assess the subject building, sample any suspect materials, send the samples to an approved lab for analysis, and report all results to the building or property owner. If any materials contain more than one percent (1%) asbestos, the property owner must hire a properly trained and EPA certified
abatement (removal) contractor to contain the materials and remove, transport and dispose of the asbestos containing materials (ACM) according to EPA rules and regulations.
We have performed asbestos consulting work for many clients. Our expertise includes litigation support in asbestos exposure and contamination claims, assessment and inspection for small and large scale demolition projects and limited inspection services for fire and flood restoration contractors.
The following is an in progress demolition where Ben Teague was responsible to CENTURA Health Group for assuring all asbestos regulations liabilities were addressed prior to the demolition of the Frisco Colorado Hospital facility. Ben Teague performed all asbestos inspections and monitored the demolition process from start to finish.
